The Gunners are closing in on a deal with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema. If this move is to go through, the gunners have a serious shot at winning the title. They still have a shot without him, but this should put them over the top.

Arsene Wenger and the Gunners were able to take home third in the Premier League and the FA Cup title. Arsenal made huge progress last season and look for that to continue. The huge signing of Alexis Sanchez carried the Gunners numerous times last season. Sanchez adapted quickly to English football and carried the Gunners through some rough patches. The Gunners never really seemed to have Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshire and Oliver Giroud all healthy at the same time, as injuries plagued them all season. Wellback, Ospina, Debuchy and Sanchez all came in last season and made a serious impact. Arsenal has plenty of talent and are built to win. Arsenal had big wins last season against top clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool, but couldn’t get over the hump against Monaco in the Champions League. The gunners started the season slow, but we’re able to finish off with eight wins in eight games.

Arsenal begin the 2015/16 season with plenty of hope to capture their first league title since 2003-2004. Arsenal returns mainly the same starting squad, except for bringing in goalkeeper Petr Cech. Long time Chelsea goal keeper was a huge summer signing for the Gunners. Arsenal have a solid defensive line with Monreal, Koscielny, Mertesacker and Bellerin followed up with Cech between the pipes. Offensively they are stacked with talent, but Sanchez and Ozil will be the two leading the attack. With Ramsey and Giroud involved in the attack this is trouble for many teams defensively. Don’t forget about the youngster Chamberlain who will bring plenty of excitement with his game. Look for Arsenal to make a serious run at the title this season. If they are able to pull off the Benzema deal, they have a shot at taking out Chelsea and winnings the 2015/16 Premier League title. This year will be an exciting and wild ride for the Gunners.
