Jose Mourinho and his Blues took home  the Premier League title in the 2014/15 season. This was Chelsea’s fourth Premier League title in the past 10 years. Chelsea was on top of the table for 268 days throughout the season, setting a premier league record. Chelsea dominated from start to finish in the premier league, but fell short in the Champions League to a tough PSG squad. Aging captain John Terry continued to control the center of the pitch in the back. Whether it be with his play on the pitch or his vocal inspiration, he is a true leader. Eden Hazard had a tremendous season for the Blues and completely dominated league play. Hazard’s ability to create opportunities, finish and take over games made him without a doubt Chelsea’s most dangerous player, finishing the season with 19 goals. Diego Costa was a key summer signing. He made a major impact early on, teaming up with Hazard up top. Although he was plaguee with hamstring injuries, he still proved to be the striker Chelsea was missing the previous season. Cesc Fabregas was also another key summer signing and contributor for the blues.

Coming in to the 2015/16 season, Chelsea are the favorite to win the title again. The Blues will see a new face between the pipes, Asmir Begovic as Petr Cech has signed with Arsenal. If Chelsea want a title repeat, Diego Costa must be fit. Player of the year Eden Hazard is a huge success story at Chelsea, but a lot of his success comes from the play of Diego Costa. Chelsea will need Defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic to continue to be one of the best in the league at his position. His talent and dominance in the center of the pitch has to continue. Willian must continue his energetic and exciting play as well for the Blues. John Terry will continue to control the Blues in the back, followed up with Ivanovic, Cahill and Azpillcueta. If Chelsea stay injury free and continue their dominate play, they have a shot at another title run.
