Top Ten Pound for Pound Fighters

In the sport of boxing everyone has a favorite fighter, doesn’t matter if they are novice fan or a pugilist historian, we all have a fighter that we consider the best. The style of that fighter depends on the preference of that particular fan. Some fans love the sweet science. They love the art of boxing, the ability to hit without getting hit. Another set of fans may consider this art as “running” and call those fighters “chickens”.

These are the fans of the brawlers, the fighter that will throw caution to the wind, lower their heads and sound off until someone goes down. Do you judge a great fighter by the number of wins or the quality of the opponents? Do you like knock outs or do you prefer ring generalship?

Here at Scarecrowgrin and Knockout News we take all of these factors into account when we discuss who the current best boxers are. We know that a heavyweight is not going to throw the same number of punches a flyweight may throw. But we also know that a flyweight may not get the same kind of world wide recognition a heavyweight may receive nor do they possess the same type of knockout power (most cases).

Ever since the reigning king of boxing Floyd Mayweather Jr. retired the boxing world has been asking….Who is the new pound for pound king? That’s for you to decide. Ask yourself, “What do you love most about boxing”? Once you figure that out you will be able to decide for yourself who the best pound for pound fighter is. In the meantime I asked my partners who are their top ten pound for pound boxers right now. These are the three lists we came up with.
