The Michigan state Spartans did it their way in the 2015 season. Michigan state had numerous big wins last year (beat Oregon, Michigan, Iowa and Ohio State) with that dominant defense. That stout defense, QB Connor Cook and WR Aaron Burbridge got Sparty all the way to the College Football Playoffs but unfortunately they would be dismantled by Alabama 38-0 in the semifinal (Cotton Bowl).
Coming into 2016 the team will lean on that defense as well as QB Tyler O’Connor and RB L.J. Scott to lead them to where the ultimately want to be. A tough conference schedule will make last years success very hard to duplicate.
Notable 2016 games:
Sept. 17th @ Notre Dame
Oct. 29th vs Michigan
Nov. 19th vs Ohio state
