Ohio state was the 2nd best in the nation in points allowed per game at 14 points. That defense along with first round pick Ezekiel Elliott was the Buckeyes bread and butter. The team looked to be on its way to an undefeated season but suffered their lone lost to Michigan st. in late November. Ohio state would end their year with a 44-28 win over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.
With the departure of Cardale Jones, Braxton Miller and Elliott, the Buckeyes will be looking to establish an new identity. That will start with J.T. Barrett and how he plays in 2016. With a number of tough conference games the OSU Buckeyes will have an interesting season to keep an eye on.
