The Oklahoma Sooners had an 11-2 season in 2015 and advanced all the way to the College Football Playoffs semifinals. They would fall to Clemson 37-17 in the Orange bowl but the season as a whole was a success. Samaje Perine ran for 1,349 yards and 16 TDs and Sterling Shepard racked up 1,288 receiving yards.
Shepard is now in the NFL but the Sooner offense is in good hands with QB Baker Mayfield who combined for over 4,100 total yards last year. Expect Mayfield to be a Heisman candidate if Oklahoma is in the Playoff mix again this season.
Notable 2016 games:
Sept. 3rd vs Houston
Sept. 17th vs Ohio State
Dec. 3rd vs Oklahoma State
