Game 4 – Cubs and Giants Preview

Chicago Cubs at San Francisco Giants- 8:30 pm- FS1
The next time the Chicago Cubs step foot on their home turf at Wrigley Field, they prefer it be for Game 1 of the NLCS. However, if they continue to lean on their pitcher to plate runs, we just may see Game 5 in Chicago after all. The Cubs will turn to veteran John Lackey tonight to close out the series. Lackey has a solid 8-5 playoff mark, and has not surrendered a run to the Giants probable starting lineup.
Following a dramatic walk off double in the thirteenth inning by Joe Panik, the Giants look to ride the momentum of their Game 3 victory into Game 4, tonight. Southpaw, Matt Moore, who finished the season 13-12, is the man Giants manager, Bruce Bochy, is counting on. Moore hasn’t pitched against the Cubs this season, but has won four of his last five starts. The bats need to stay awake for the Giants. The Triple P’s, (Pence, Panik and Posey) need to get it done tonight. Giants need to get runners on and scratch out runs.
The Giants face adversity well, but you can’t keep this Cubs lineup down for long. I look for John Lackey to continue his postseason success, and for a big games out of Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo. Just get it to Chapman, with a lead, and that’s a wrap.
