Week 10 Recap.
Look who decided to find their arm and throw for 348 yards and 3 touchdowns. Bad timing for the New England Patriots, oh I’m talking about Russell Wilson by the way. As we all know now, the Patriots lost 31-24, at the goaline to the Seattle Seahawks. This loss was mainly in due part to how amazingly well Russell Wilson was slinging and moving the ball. All game he was in a groove, a much needed groove in a shootout like this game.
Seattle played great all game, their defense were able to hold Tom Brady to no touchdowns and an interception, the first team this season to pick off Brady. They caused a total of two turnovers on 3 fumbles, two forced, and that interception. Young running back, CJ Prosise, showed off his worth the entire game, rushing for 66 yards and catching 7 passes for 87 yards, he was the teams leading receiver. CJ didn’t have any scores though, because Russell connected with Doug Baldwinn for all three of Seattles touchdowns.
The Patriots were good can not deny that, but fumbles, a couple of turnovers and being stopped at the goal line, can hurt good games. Tom Brady was moving the ball well, as he always does, but that one mistake, could have swung the game. He connected with Julian Edleman for 7 catches, 99 yards but fumbled, lethal weapon #1 Rob Gronkowski had 3 receptions for 56 yards and a chance to win the game, and lethal weapon #1 Martellus Bennett, that’s right they both #1, lead the team in receiving with 102 yards and 7 receptions. Lagarrette Blount continued his great season, rushing for 66 yards and 3 touchdowns, now leads the league with 12. He was a work horse out there, trying to plow through the D-line at times, like that hard fought touchdown where he was pumping his legs fighting tough to cross the goaline. All was for naught though, Brady couldn’t connect with Gronk in the left corner to end the game, all after Blount was stuffed twice at the line.
It was a rough loss, but Bill Belichick and company will bounce back. New England plays San Francisco next week, a team that has been struggling on and off the field. This game should be a gimme, and fun to watch too, hopefully it will put the Patriots back on the right track.
