PHILADELPHIA (7/19/17) – The Temple University Football team can be seen taking part in the following promotional activities leading up to the 2017 season. Many members of the team will be on hand for these activities along with the spirit squad and mascot.

Elmwood Park Zoo – Eagles Deck (1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown, PA)

Meet the Owls – The Temple Owls will descend on Elmwood Park Zoo – home to Stella, Temple’s live owl mascot.  They will be there to sign autographs and greet visitors as part of Temple Athletics’ continued partnership with the Elmwood Park Zoo. Eat with the Owls – Temple football team members will work the counters and serve food to patrons at Philadelphia’s iconic eatery. Bassett’s Ice Cream, Condiment, Flying Monkey Bakery, Hershel’s East Side Deli, Kamal’s Middle Eastern Specialties, Meltkraft, Pearl’s Oyster Bar, and Pennsylvania General Store, are among the list of participating vendors. Fans wearing Temple gear will receive various food discounts.

Fans will be able to meet and receive autographs from various Temple student-athletes including members of the Football team.  Tickets with other Temple supporters are located in Sections 201-207 and are just $10 each. The Owls are coming off back-to-back 10-win seasons in which they were ranked among the Top 25 in both 2015 and 2016. Temple is one of 13 FBS schools to win 10-or-more games in each of the past two seasons and one of five (Alabama, Clemson, San Diego State, Western Kentucky) to accomplish that feat while also playing in its Conference Championship game in each season.
