The Jaguars went into the 2016 season with big plans. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for them. The team went 3-13 and brought up the rear of the AFC South. The talent they have didn’t translate to wins. WRs Allen Robinson ( 883 yards and 6 TDs) and Marquise Lee ( 851 yards and 3 TDs) led the team in receiving but the inconsistent play of QB Blake Bortles made getting wins hard to come by.

The Jags were built to be a high powered Offense but they scored 17 points or less in 7 of their 16 games. That’s almost half and of those 7 games they only won 1. CB Jalen Ramsey was a bright spot as was LB Telvin Smith but to say the team as a whole underachieved is a huge understatement.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have to find out if Blake Bortles is their Quarterback of the future. He hasn’t shown that he is as of yet but this may be his last shot at holding on to his job. The team has one of the more explosive Wide Receiver groups in the league and they’ve added one of the best Running backs in all of college football to the fold ( Leonard Fournette ).

This team is in an up and coming division. Houston’s defense is one of the best in football, Tennessee’s offense is as scary as they come and indy still has a budding star in QB Andrew Luck. The organization will have to make a change if they don’t see some significant improvement in 2017. They hope the new defense they bought with A.J. Bouye, Barry Church and Calais Campbell will rapidly change things.
