In his first career start, Marchi played well, completing 19 of 35 attempts for 245 yards and two touchdowns – distributing the ball to nine different receivers.
Villanova is coming off of a 38-35 victory over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. The victory for the Wildcats marked the first career win for head coach Mark Ferrante. In the game, quarterback Zach Bednarczyk went 17 of 23 for 209 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 73 yards on nine carries and a touchdown. Running back Matt Gudzak had a career day on the ground, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
Villanova is coming into the game ranked nationally in the FCS at No. 10.
The game is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
