What was feared yesterday is the harsh reality today, as the Philadelphia Eagles 2nd year Quarterback and MVP Candidate Carson Wentz has indeed suffered a torn ACL and is done for the remainder of the season.

Wentz through not even a full 13 games broke the franchise record for TD passes in a season (33) and had his team looking like the yeam to beat in not only the NFC but the entire NFL. His 3,296 passing yards thus far this year had him on pace to shatter the previous team record of 3,916 passing yards in a season thats held by Donovan McNabb.

In Sundays match up with Los Angeles Rams on a play that ended up not even counting, Wentz took off around the right side of the offensive line looking to score and was met at the goal line by Rams defenders Mark Barron and Morgan Fox where he attempted to dive into the end zone and his legs were sandwiched between the two players. Wentz got up and ran the next play as if it was nothing, where he threw his 4th TD pass of the contest to Alshon Jeffrey. He would go to be looked at an not return to the game. Nick Foles finished the game and the Eagles won 43-35. The team also Clinched the NFC East title with the victory.

The wizardry that Wentz has shown in and outside of the pocket and the leadeship he has shown on and off the playing field will be missed as this team will now look to once starter Foles to keep the Super Bowl hopes alive. GM Howie Roseman has put together a very good roster and Coach Doug Pederson along with defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz have their respective sides of the ball playing at an extremely high level. It will interesting to see if they can keep this ship afloat.

From us at we would like to wish Carson Wentz a speedy road back to health.
