The Jacksonville Jaguars are in the playoffs. I’m going to let that set in for a moment……….. Head coach Doug Marrone took an interim tag and turned it into something great. This defense has added a few pieces to move it from an up and coming unit to one of if not the best in the entire NFL. Guys like Telvin Smith, Dante Fowler Jr and Jalen Ramsey are Jags draft picks but the free agent acquisitions of Calais Campbell, A.J. Bouye and Barry Church seems to have pushed SACKsonville to a whole new level.

Rookie running Back Leonard Fournette has brought that tough, hard nosed style of their defense to the offensive side of the ball. Fournette has been a workhorse and after losing Pro-bowl Wide Out Allen Robinson for the season on the first drive of the year, it was needed. QB Blake Bortles has had an up and down year but down the stretch he seems to have figured it out and all this team needs to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender is for him to continue to play well. A 2 game losing streak to end the season is concerning though.

These Jags are different than any Jags team I’ve ever seen. They beat teams up, that was never more evident than when they manhandled two of the NFLs more feared franchises in the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Seattle Seahawks. This team has a shot at winning it all and going into the Playoffs they are one of the more intriguing story lines.

Offensive MVP: Leonard Fournette (rookie)

Defensive MVP: Jalen Ramsey
