The LA Rams have a story that is eerily similar to The Jacksonville Jaguars, they have a new coach, tough defense and a stud workhorse running back that can carry the mail. The biggest difference is Quarterback play. The 2016 #1 pick Jared Goff has began to change the perception of him as he’s has been a key cog in this Sean McVay machine that is the Rams offense.

Loses to Seattle and Philadelphia had people questioning if this team was for real but a 42-7 drubbing of the Seahawks in the 2nd meeting has since quieted those questions. Aaron Donald and Alec Ogletree leads a defense that has been very good for years but now gets the respect they deserve since their play is resulting in wins and not just moral victories like in years past.

Todd Gurley is a sneaky MVP candidate, he had 2,093 total yards and 19 TDs in the 2017 regular season. He’s the engine in LA. As we head into the playoffs I’m looking forward to some of these improbable match ups that are possible and the Rams are a team that I will be keeping my eye on.

Offensive MVP: Todd Gurley

Defensive MVP: Aaron Donald
