The New Orleans Saints started the season with a sure fire Hall of Famer in a crowded backfield. But miraculously the addition by subtraction approach worked out for them. After the team traded Adrian Peterson to the Cardinals the offense flourished with running backs Mark Ingram and rookie sensation Alvin Kamara leading the way. 2nd year wide out Michael Thomas has had another stellar season as well with over 1,200 yards and 100 catches.

Quarterback Drew Brees hasn’t been himself this year as he’s had good games as far as completion percentage but his yards and TDs are down but winning games is more important and this team has done that. After an 0-2 start the team rattled off 8 straight wins with all but 1 coming by 8 or more points. Though they aren’t known for defense this team held 5 of those 8 opponents under 14 points. DE Cameron Jordan and rookie Corner Marshon Lattimore lead the way for their defense.

This team has a legitimate shot at representing the NFC in the Super Bowl because having a top flight running game and an Elite Quarterback gives you a chance to win any game, in any setting and in any weather.

Offensive MVP: Alvin Kamara (rookie)
