Every year we see a team have multiple devastating injuries, this year Minnesota was that team. Case Keenum is the starting QB and he was the 3rd Option behind Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater. Even head coach Mike Zimmer had to deal with injury as his eye issue from last year still isn’t fully resolved. RB Dalvin Cook also went down early in what looked to be a great rookie year but this team just continued to show up and make plays.
With Keenum at the helm, guys like Adam Thelein and Jerrick McKinnon became household names. The offense always looks to be prepared but the defense with Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter up front are flat out ferocious. With young Linebackers Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr in the middle now add Xavier Rhodes and Trae Waynes on the back end and this team is equipped to go toe-to-toe with any team in the NFL.
With the Super Bowl in Minneapolis this year its only right to talk history. This team has an opportunity to be the first club to host and play in the super bowl in the same year. With the Eagles losing QB Carson Wentz it looks more promising but teams like the Rams, Saints and Panthers may have a lot to say about this history they are trying to make.
Offensive MVP: Case Keenum
Defensive MVP: Xavier Rhodes
