NFL WILD CARD WEEKEND MATCH UP

#3 LOS ANGELES RAMS vs #6 ATLANTA FALCONS

(Saturday January 6th, 2018 8:15 pm EST NBC)

PREVIEW

This game will a battle between the 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan’s offense and potential 2017 NFL MVP Todd Gurley’s offense. Gurley and his young QB Jared Goff have the NFL’s top scoring offense as they averaged 29.9 ppg in 2017, thats the same distinction Atlanta had last year as they averaged 33.8 in 2016. The point im getting to is…… Look for there to be a good amount of points scored in this contest.

These offenses are well known but there’s another factory that can play a big role in this game that isn’t being talked about. Defensive Tackle Aaron Donald is one of if not the best defenders in the NFL and the Falcons have just placed starting Left Guard Andy Levitre on IR with triceps injury. If Atlanta isn’t able to figure the Guard position out with Ben Garland, Donald could easily deck havoc in this Saturday night tilt.

PREDICTION

The youth of Jared Goff will be an early obstacle for the Rams as the Falcons take the lead to start the game due to a Goff turnover, but Rams coach Sean McVay won’t get rattled and sticks with the run. Gurley and the Rams defense will find their footing and begin to make plays. A TD pass from Goff to ( Woods, Kupp, Watson you can pick ) will give the Rams a lead at the half.

The Rams will start to pull away but Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and that offense won’t go quietly. The Combination I’d DeVonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman will be key in trying to keep the Rams offense on the sideline, but ultimately In an explosive 2nd half the game will be iced by Todd Gurley and a long TD. Reception or run, I’m not sure but Gurley closing the win out will be the way Los Angeles heads to the Divisional round.

FINAL SCORE

RAMS 38 – FALCONS 31
