Week 1 Fantasy Football Thoughts and Info
With most Fantasy Football drafts in the books we get ready for the Eagles and Falcons to kick off the 2018-2019 NFL Season.
With that said let’s start with the Fantasy state of the Super Bowl champion Eagles. Uncertainty with Quarterback Carson Wentz makes Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles a viable player to have on rosters. There hasn’t been many Situations where the season starts with 2 Quarterbacks from 1 team being drafted. After the Wentz vs Foles conversation we have to look at the issues they have at the Wide out position. Alshon Jeffrey starts the year on the PUP list while Nelson Agholor will play to start the year but has dealt with an injury all preseason. Jay Ajayi and Zach Ertz will be the only sure things in Philadelphia as far as Fantasy football is concerned.
Atlanta has some names that we all know (Julio Jones, Matt Ryan, DeVonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman). So let’s take a look at Rookie Calvin Ridley who looks to unseed Mohammad Sanu as the Falcons #2 target. Speaking of Rookies, running backs Saqoun Barkley (Giants), Royce Freeman (Broncos), Rashaad Penny (Seahawks), Sony Michel (Patriots) and Ronald Jones (Buccaneers) look to make huge impacts for their teams as fantasy owners look for them to produce the points they need to try and secure a fantasy championship.
Not too many sites give you insight on fantasy defense/special teams but thats why ScarecrowGrin.com is not just your average site. Teams like Jacksonville, Minnesota and Philadelphia went in drafts no question but some units out there can help you win on a week to week basis. The LA Rams added Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib to the defense so they are a hot pick for a breakout defense but a team like Detroit with New coach Matt Patricia can be a streaming defense that can get you points. Also the Cardinals and Steve Wilks could be another defense/special team that can surprise some folks this fantasy season.
With LeVeon Bell still holding out, The Steelers are going to hitch their wagon to James Conner. While no one can expect the productivity that Bell gives on a week to week basis, Conner will be a must have soley on the volume he will see in that Pittsburgh offense.
The NFL season is here. We’ve waited 30 sundays for Week 1 to be upon us and that it is right now. Enjoy week one and enjoy this season. Swing by weekly to get our Fantasy insight to help you win your league.
