2019 NFL Draft Prospect: T.J. HOCKENSON

2019 NFL Draft Prospect: T.J. HOCKENSON

T.J. Hockenson

School: Iowa

Position: TE

Height: 6’5

Weight: 251 lbs

STRENGTHS

Consistent. There are multiple things that factor into consistency and T.j. Hockenson has them all. Reliable hands, good crisp route running, very good football I.Q. and he is a good blocker. His athleticism was underrated at Iowa but it is definitely one of his positives in the grand scheme of things. He and Noah Fant look to continue the growing allure of Iowa Tight Ends in the NFL.

WEAKNESSES

Hockenson is not as strong as you’d want from a 6’5 tight end. His 250 pounds is on the high side for him. Getting into an NFL weight room and adding maybe 15 pounds of muscle to that frame could be deadly for pro defenses. T.j. is a solid blocker but at times when blocking at the 2nd level he has a tendency to struggle.
