2019 Draft Prospect: DWAYNE HASKINS

2019 Draft Prospect: DWAYNE HASKINS

Dwayne Haskins

School: Ohio State

Position: QB

Height: 6’3

Weight: 231 lbs

Dwayne Haskins is big kid with an even bigger arm. He has good velocity on his throws as well as accuracy. He is also very savy in the pocket, while hes not a “running” quarterback he does have what they call functional mobility. What that means is, he wont run by anyone but he can definitely make things happen with his feet. Whether it’s getting away to make at throw or scooting for a few yards here and there.

Experience is always something to take note of when drafting a quarterback. Has he seen enough defenses to be able to adjust on the fly? Will opposing coordinators be able to confuse him? All questions that whomever drafts him will have to ask themselves. Another question for Haskins is…… Can he play under center? Ohio state played predominantly out of the shotgun. We’ve seen passers struggle with this transition before.

Ben Rothlisberger

Haskins is one of the more highly debated prospects in this years draft so his slot isn’t as simple as most to predict.
